Then there are those of us who desire fewer but better guns. I'd rather have a couple of fitted Perazzis instead of half a dozen Browning Citoris or two Cooper Arms with high-end glass as opposed to six Remington 700s with run-of-the-mill optics.There are hunters who own guns just to hunt, and there are hunters that are also enthusiastic shooters. The latter group tend to own lots of guns, the former group tend to have a small amount or even only one.
My gun safe is barely half full but the spots that are taken are with the best quality guns I can afford.
