Too many optics - how do you decide?

I have a problem - too many optics for the rifles I have. How do you decide which to keep? The obvious answer is 'buy more rifles', but that can't happen anymore...

Vortex Razor is going on my SR15 (when/if it arrives)
TR24G is on my FS2000
Nightforce 2.5-10x is on my RFB
Micro is on my Benelli M4.

Acog/CompM4/EoTech don't have a home... what would you put on what and why?

Sell the ACOG and CompM4, then put the EOtech on your new shorty AR-15 (that you're going to buy with the extra funds from the sale of the other two). ;)

Either that, or send your extra optics to me, I'll find a good home for them. :p

I could find a home for the micro and NF

Looks like you need to sell them all and buy the new S&B 1-8

acog and eotech would get sold and M4 would go on a CQB.

clobber, have you tried that NF in 1-4? is works darn near as well as the Comp M4, its an outstanding optic.

Keep the Aimpoints get rid of everything else.

Boooo! 2 optics for 4 guns? Come on man... sounds like you're drinkin the Swedish Kool-aid! :)

The NF 1-4x IS really nice - but I traded it for a 2.5-10x for the RFB... it deserves more than a 1-4 can provide! To be honest, I like the Accupoint TR24G almost as much at the NF... it's bigger, but great FOV and the triangle reticle is really easy for quick shooting.

No need for the CompM4 at all, trade it for a T1. Unless you've got a .50cal that needs an Aimpoint.

The variable 1-4x's blow the regular ACOG's out of the water for versatility. Sell it, put it toward a S&B Short Dot (Or wait for the 1.1-8x S&B!). Sell the EOTech as well.

Well, I just traded the comp m4 for 1700 rounds of Remington .223, so that solves ONE problem. :)

I agree the 1-4s are somewhat better than the ACOG, but I do like the lighter weight and love the reticle. with the RCO version, I can more easily target moving trucks and tangos with the hash marks on the sides. ;) It just feels much more rugged and bulletproof than and 1-4x.

Of course I was just stirring the pot. :D You have an impressive collection of optics.

Never shot a NF, would like to.

The simplicity and ruggedness of Aimpoints is hard to beat. The battery life is amazing. I left my Micro on for three years on setting 7. I changed the battery recently just because I thought I should, even though it gave no indication that it needed it.

All these optics are durable up to the point of being shot. I've dropped my rifles with TR24's on top a few times, and have seen many smacked into barricades and car doors.

They'll last.
