Just wondering if its possible to have too much ammo?

For example, I just realized I have 750 rounds of .45ACP and I don't even own any firearms in that calibre!

I've got three crates of 7.62x39 ,each a different brand. But my SKS is my least favorite firearm to shoot, it almost never comes out of the safe. So do I have too much ammo , well no but I'll never have to buy 7.62 again.

There's never such a thing as having too much ammo, but it is somewhat odd to have ammo for a calibre you don't even own yet...the key word being 'yet'.

It all depends. If they are handloads then no, because there isn't much you can do with them anyways.

If it's factory ammo, ask yourself if you see another .45acp in your future. If the answer is a definite no then might as well sell it, but if it's a maybe you might as well keep it - ammo isn't getting any cheaper.

WHY, do you not own a .45, that is the question!!?? As for ammo, it is the same as guns,, while you can have enough,,, you can NEVER have to much!

You are probably a couple order of magnitude from having too much ammo. Maybe come back here when you have 75000 rounds, then feel free to send me some ;-)

Buy it cheap, stack it deep !

Quote from IPSC shoot this weekend, after expending FAR too much ammo to kill all the steel.

"I didn't bring all this ammo out here just to carry it back."
