So, I took apart my Ruger 10/22 Stainless and I lost a screw. It's the screw that holds the stock in place from beneath. I believe it screws into the receiver or the barrel "clamp"

Any idea where I can order parts for this firearm? And yes, I'm aware I could go to canadian tire and get a screw with the same threading, but I want to maintain uniform appearance. I want to stay RUGER if possible.

Thanks

BcBoy sells (or did sell but I believe he still does) take down screws for the 10/22's. I would contact him. They were not very much and were the allen key type - much better than the slotted ruger ones.

the thread is 12-24, it is NOT a common size. good luck finding one at canadian tire or home depot. i had our bolt supply at work looking for them and she can't even get them.

i do know a hobbyist gunsmith who gets standard screws from the states, and turns them on his lathe into the proper dimensioned takedown screw.

that being said, don't get a ruger screw, for the $6 it might cost, get a nice allen head take down screw. there are a few sources for mailorder that should be able to help you, and much faster than ruger i suspect.

I bought a new one from here:

They ship free to Canada, mine arrived within a week if I remember correctly!
