Took many stands but when it happens, it seems easy

It has been a rough month or so with no snow came no coyote sightings for me. We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday (first time in a month or so) and with an opportunity to go out for a quick stand I packed my gear up and off I went. Got to the farm and setup as the sun went down. A few minutes into dying rabbit, 2 coyotes come out of the bush. 1 heads my way, the other stays back. Had the male stop about 75 yds from me so I took the shot. 2nd coyote put on the after burners and spilt without a chance for a shot.

Its been an unusual warm winter with little to no snow for most of it. Its been more like fishing weather then coyote weather but no more skunk

Well Fratri, all I can say is at least you are out there giving 'em hell at those yoddle dogs.

Fellas are out running their dogs behind the farm today. Looked out at one point and saw 2 yotes in the field, by the time I got the Hornet, they were gone. 2 minutes later I heard the hounds, so hopefully we're down a couple more coyotes.
