Took my Colt Canada/Diemaco C8 to the range today PICS ADDED PLUS VIDEO

Neutered bolt carrier or not... I'm seriously considering buying one of the rifles/carbines, swapping the Colt Canada bolt into a spare LMT bolt carrier group i have and calling it a day. The Daniel Defense BCG that I have has thier logo on it that you can see throught the ejection port which would bother me on this particular rifle. Or just find a Colt BCG on the EE... Decisions.

Why bother? Whats the big issue with the BCG it comes with? What difference would it make, really?

Yep thats a m16 bolt with a small groove carved out so that it doesnt engage the autosear.
Has some nice weight to it and it covers the firing pin.

The groove is so the carrier doesn't smak the buffer retaining pin detent. Its a full auto carrier with a full tail, which means the carrier will TRIP the auto sear on an FA lower.

Durability

How is it more durable? Will non FA bolts shatter from use?

I have read that FA bolts generally add to reliability as there is more mass cycling, but I think this hybrid is pretty darn close in mass. And the firing pin is shrouded so no issues with the hammer hanging up on it or generally abusing the firing pin on cycling.

Agree. If you question durability with a hybrid like that you are way out in left field.
