Took my friend out for her first bear

Very nice! Good for you taking a kid out hunting. I keenly remember my daughters first bear 13 years ago this May.

yes, I think so. I'm going to shoot them into some dry newspaper alongside some 180gr TSX at close range ot see how they hold up/penetrate, though..
 
Post some pics of her and the bear! Good shot of her looking up the mountain, but I'm not sure of what to make of the two pics of mushroomed bullets.

Edit - sounds like she had fun though!!

Luv reading stories like that !! Not enough new hunters anymore, good on you for taking her out. The smile on her face tells the whole story.

I'm taking my daughter for the first time this deer hunting season, and I cannot wait. I hope she gets hooked so I have a hunting partner till I'm old and grey ......ok , I am already grey, but real old then. :D

That is a very nice black bear...

My son's first bear was about 6 1/4' - 1/2' but I don't remember the head being that wide looking.

Once again congratulations Bridget...

GH what are you taking her hunting for next? :)
