Took Sheila to the ranges

What do you use to attach the bipod? I've got an old USGI fiberglass stock that I'm going to restore and paint. The front sling swivel is rusted to hell on mine so I'm looking for something to replace it--preferably some kind of rail/sling stud combo similar to what you seem to have. Thanks.

It's a paintball Bipod, currently installed by laying the adapter plate inline with the seconde hole used by the old sling swivel, going to dremel a slot for the plate soon because the Op Rod is rubbing the plate....

Another fun day @ the Connaught ranges today.

Problem with the sights :

Rear Sight had to be set at 900m to shoot at 300m, Bill Martyn noticed that my front post seem pretty tall, he will mesure is NM M-14 (reel one) front post to see if they are the same.

;)

Well Fenix.NZ the EOTech (copy) crappt out on me on the last shot fired on the range day last week-end, had to turn the EOT... sight on after every shot. It held zero just fine, adjustement do not have audile or tactile clicks but are easy to adjust with a dime or screwdriver.

I belive the problem of turning off after every shot is due to the week springs in the battery compartment, need to find something to install behind those spring to tighten up.

Now only if the darn thing would turn on, tried everything but no such luck.

Well that could be what you get for buying "made in China Copy".

:(

Well it turns out that my EOTech copy problem was a wire that came loose, repaired that faulty part by soldering it back to it's proper place. Next I believe I solved the week spring in the battery compartment by adding two pieces of foam in back of said spring.

I'll find out if my repaires fixes the small problems I had at the last trip to the ranges.

;)

1st rds was completly under the target, 2nd one 1in above the bottom edge, 3rd just above the 2nd and so on.

You'll need a better scope mount setup than that. I tried the exact same setup.....doesn't work. Talk to M14Doctor, he's building a rear clip-guide scope mount that will work with that forward rail of yours.

I'd like to thank Lucky72 for sponsoring me at the Club de Tir de la Haute Gatineau on Sunday. I was welcome with open arms by the Exec commitee and shown the ranges.

I just might have to go there more often from now on. Great set up for the rifle.
