Took the Greener GP grouse hunting

First day of grouse hunting so I took my greener GP martini out for a woods walk didn’t t see any grouse but had fun anyway.[

- seems like most of the GP I've seen had purple-ish receiver

Those old Greeners are pretty cool. A few years back my buddy took this doe in a shotgun zone down south with his Greener GP, brass cases and a Lee Key slug. Distance was 80 paces!

Dug this thread up as I've been posting some pics.
So not a GP but here's a Greener with a grouse from the Fall.
Made a nice wingshot on this bird.
Although I knew it was there as I was following up on a group of 3 that I had flushed, so I was ready when it flew again.
This time out in front from a tree branch about 10-15 feet off the ground and quartering away.
Nice shot made for a good day.

Backpack is LL BEAN, a buddy gave it to me so price was right.
It’s nice for shooting with only one shoulder strap but by the time I fit all my stuff in there for a days hike, especially in colder weather, there’s barely room for birds !
