Hello,

What armourer tool do you recommend for replacing the muzzle device on my AR10 type rifle. I am worried that using a normal wrench might damage the finish/threading of the barrel or the muzzle device. I read good stuff on Tapco Intrafuse AR Armorer's Tool, but thats for AR15 only I assume.

Also when I mount the upper on the vise, do I clamp it to the barrel or the upper frame?

Please advise!

What size is the tool/muzzle device? I bought an Armors wrench and the part that was designed to be used for the muzzle device wasn't the greatest tolerance. And it seems like almost all the universal armors wrench's are the same because of their crappy casting. Therefore I just use the appropriate sized open end wrench, it worked way better for me then an armors wrench in my situations so far

I have a upper vise block I use to clap the upper, it comes with a bcg filler also, so you can really clamp down on the upper and not risk collapsing it inward with the pressure, not sure if they make one for AR10 or if its any different

I ended up purchasing Viper barrel vise. I guess I will just use a regular wrench as per the recommendations above. Thanks!
