The collection of my late FIL Lindsay Mueller (toolmanscbs) is up for auction this weekend through Wards in Edmonton. Piles of Colt pistols and revolvers as well as many rifles and shotguns of various makes.
Please take a look. Some of it is bidding very low right now!

Impressive does not describe that collection, it is honestly beyond words. That was a very late night reading through everything in the auction! I'm sorry for your loss.

There’s some lots of colts going for cheap in this auction. I’m very sad to see them go especially for some of the prices. If I didn’t have his purchase invoices from when he bought them it would be easier to watch!

Brutal! They don't show you what the end bids were!!!! As a colt collector I'm disappointed with the Auctioneers. What a crock.

If you had the item bookmarked you can see what the sale price was. Biggest heartbreak for us was the Winchester cartridge board. He bought that in December from a US auction for $23,000USD and it’s sold today for $7250

Thought that was a O.K. price in Canada, the market is totally different up here, But I am not really up on these.
Some of the small stuff, 22 pistols where quite soft, but the market has been quite soft on good steel, wood 22 pistols for a while. Guess everyone is into plastic these days.
I did find the complete, list and final prices, there is a printable list you click on . You have to be registered , and maybe bid ? to see it.

I don't think it helped that there where two big auctions on at the same time.

I do have the complete list of all items and description with final hammer prices. A lot of these prized guns came from US auctions and I can attest that most of M. Mueller's collection sold for less in yesterday's auction than what originally paid in the last 5-6 years of collecting Colt Snakes specifically.

Ward’s had lots of nice Colts. Considered a few but some were out of price range. Was looking for a 1971 manufacture specifically but nothing there.

I strapped my right hand to my thigh and kept out of the bidding.

Yup I have the original invoices for about 75% of his collection, overall some went for higher and some were much lower.

Huge thanks to the people on CGN for buying what you did and bidding prices up!

I knew some he bought in the US where way over market here, but that was not important to him. Some of the early ones where stronger than what I thought they would be.
He also found stuff in Canada that I did not know was here.
He will be missed, Some of those tools in his office come from me.
