Hey guys,

Anyone know where to find the tool for the front sight, and does anyone have suggestions for a kit of sorts with punches for the rear sight? I've never done this before so I'm a noob on this topic.

Cheers.

Brownells, if you are just installing "steel" sights, then you can get away with a padded vise and a punch, however a Glock "sight pusher" is recommended for something with tritium vials etc.

All you need is the Glock front sight tool. You can find it on Amazon. Here is one example.

I've installed my own Glock sights. You will have to strip the slide (remove barrel and recoil spring). The rear sight will require a punch. You can also buy them online like in Amazon, just search "brass punch set".

I had to buy the special nut driver for the front sight. Brownells. Rear sight was hammered in using a hardwood block as a punch with the slide mounted in a leather covered vise.

Had a set of Trijicon HD once and I really liked them. I put a small amount of blue loctite on the front sight screw after it came loose twice.

Nice! Thanks for this. Was having trouble finding one.

Brass punch does the trick.

Beauty, the video I watched, the guy used an aluminum one so that's why I was curious what others were using.

Copy that, I was reading that blue loctite was advisable so I'll put a drop on there.

Any standard 3/16 nut driver with a slight chamfer on it works on the front sight, my dawson sights came with a tool for both, an aluminum punch for the rear, and a driver for the front.
