I don't know much about the Cheytac, but why would it be #2? It hasn't been used much compared to the rest.

I think the #1 "sniper rifle" should be the one in the hands of a good sniper...a great rifle in nothing in the hands of an untrained person

how is it possible that the m24 is #10 and the enfield #8. In what crazy world would anyone ever consider the enfield to be a better sniper rifle then the m24. I dont think the people who put this list together know what there talking about.

I dont think the enfield has one single advantage over the m24. m24 is more accurate, lighter, better optics, bipod, adjustable length of pull, and looks bad ass. The enfield was a great rifle for its day no doubt about that but ask any modern military sniper which one they would rather be issued and they would all no doubt say the M24 and for good reason.

I wouldn't take that article too seriously. Look at the Cheytac page, the first pic appears to be from a video game and the second pic isn't even a Cheytac, it's an EDM Windrunner. Can't even get their guns right.

So the AS50 (a rifle that no country uses in any great numbers) made the list, but the McMillan TAC-50 (which set records) didn't? Riiiiiiight!

That site was made by a high school kid or something. The PSG-1 videos was a review of an airsoft "rifle". I'm surprised the Red Ryder didn't make the list...

How is it that over half of the rifles are semi's. Sure their are alot of good semi's that can work most of the time. But come on over half of the top being semi's. I think not.

Where is the M40, TAC 50, etc??
