While I accept that there is always a chance you wouldn't get spotted at a mile range, maybe standing up and holding your weather station and PDA might just give you away, and your intended target chance to either shoot you or get out of the line of fire, so I question some of the perfection stated aboout the CheyTec. Just my impression, you understand..
And I was vaguely surprised that the PGW Timberwolf is not in there. I have heard much and would dearly like to try one of those. I was under the impression that they used something other than the Lapua .338 casing, but the website seems to say otherwise. I may have missed it, however.
Personally, the most dangerous thing I am likely to encounter here is a Black Bear and I have yet to see one of those carrying a Barrett or similar. My 30=06 or the 12 guage with a slug will do me for that..
