Top Folding Stock? Do I Dare?

personal preference. Is the frame on cop stock some what comfortable? almost makes me want to get the spec ops. it really doesn't add that much length. it would still be easy to walk around the bush in.

the arms arent THAT comfortable on your face, but then again its what....410 guage steel bars wrapped in a little rubber on your cheek?

Its a tradeoff...but the less recoil makes it tolerable.

Im not understanding.........nothing happens more or less than it would with any gun...

The recoil reduction is on a whole, the whole gun will actually slide back an inch backwards over the handle when firing as the cam lever is in the handle on the copstock. I suppose if your a glutton for punishment and you somehow get your face that close to the back of the gun youre in for some bloody good times. Im SURE some lucky fellow without a clue has done this haha. It happnes so quickly you wouldnt even notice this though.

However, I dont see how your hand or trigger finger is affected in any way, nor have i had it effect me.

I took a slightly different approach to the problem:
After trying most every combination and option available over the past 16 years I decided that the best way (for me anyway) to get a compact defence shotgun is to shorten the barrel and keep the shoulder stock (no pistol or folder).
Currently, my work gun is a Remington 870 with a KnoxxSpecops and a Dlask 14" barrel. I keep the Specops collapsed completely for the shortest LOP.
My personal gun still has the wood buttstock (soon to be remedied with Specops) but I shorten the buttstock 1-2". Overall the gun feels much less cumbersome and is much nicer to shoot than any of the top folders I tried. Having 6-8" less barrel sticking out front changes the feel of the gun substantially and to me it is the best option so far in the bush.
Cheers
