Topo Maps

Found a great site to download and print topo maps for anywhere in Canada. It's free from NRCAN. You can get down to 1:20000 scale and available in S,M,L and XL size. If you have an idea of the area you are going to be hunting in, just make your own map book and laminate the pages. Here's a sample in Large. There is also a printable legend to go with the maps. Indeed Google earth is a very useful tool. You can also select an option to show pictures taken at that location. It gives a ground level insight into the terrain, especially since there is no all terrain Google street view car.

Google earth is good and sometimes more updated, but not always as accurate as proper topo maps

Sorry about that Sand, didn't know it was there. Doesn't hurt to have it elsewhere though as not everyone goes to that board
