Hi everyone, I'm excited about joining what seems to be a wicked message board. I'm even more excited about developing my skill in this awesome activity.

My experience includes firing off a friend's Browning outside of Canada. I also hit up Shooting Edge in Calgary a few months ago and it was as much fun as I thought it would be. AK-74, AR-15, and the all mighty Mini 14. What a blast!

I just got my PAL, and will be looking for a good group of people to get me up to speed on this sport.

I love fishing going out as often as I can. I look forward to learning hunting and developing my skills in that too, I can't get enough of the outdoors.

Cheers! :rockOn::rockOn::rockOn:

Nice to have you with us fellow Torontonian! You'll love this site. It's a great bunch of guys, and tons of good info. I'm debating about putting together another wings & beer night here in the west end. The last one was a great success, and I think it's time I put feelers out to see who'd attend the next one. After all, it's patio season. Keep an eye on the event forum, and get permission from a moderator to join the equipment exchange forum. You'll be sorry if ypu don't. Welcome aboard!

Hi Lawrence, please do organize another wings and beer night. I'd love to come out.

Alright, fellow Torontonian. One question for you and any other Torontonian.

Where do you guys shoot? Which clubs? All clubs are freakin far away from here. I live in North York.
Please recommend me one. My interest is on restricted.

I love knowing there are more and more GTA CGN'ers ! .......:dancingbanana:

Burlington, Gormley and Silverdale are just some of the "local" ranges for us Toronto folk...:D....also Aurora, and then some ! ....:yingyang:

I like it too. More GTAers please! Which club is the closest one? Burlington has a long waiting time and so little time to shoot handgun. I read good things about silverdale.

Any recommendation?

I joined the rod & gun club at CFB Borden. Being an ex military, and having my brother in as well was a big help. Catch this for dumb! Some of the anglers brought guests up to the base to fish, and then it turns out some of the guests didn't have their fishing licences. What do the powers that be decide? No more guests, members only for ANY of the shoots or fishing. Over reacting much??

You will find this forum very interesting. A lot of opinions and usually some pretty friendly advice. I have purchased a few firearms and ammo right here from the forum and the experiences have been positive. A couple of the members even helped me sight in a scope last week.

Welcome aboard!

I highly recommend Silverdale but its about an hour and 15 mins drive which is worth it, if you want something closer Target sport might be your choice!

What do u think of Burlington? How about Toronto Revolver Club? TRC is right in Toronto.

You need to go and see them personally, then you have an idea about their facility, operation and their crowd.
Don't forget to check out Silverdale!!! you wont be disappointed, on site store will give you the option of buying ammo and firearms where you shoot.
Good luck and let us know which one you like.

I noticed that the closer to Toronto, the more expensive it will become. Target Sports charge $500+ and Toronto Revolver Club $750.

Any other range that is closer to Toronto or in Toronto under $300?
