hi,

If I wanted to drive to Halifax for the provincials, to safe the cost of airfare for everyone, how long of a drive it it? How many km?

Thanks!

i think its some where between 1400 and 1800 km's well from ottawa anyway and its roughl;y 21-24 hours depending on how you drive and how often you stop again this is from ottawa

Halifax is 14.5 hours from Ottawa, if you keep your ass in the car. Toronto is about 4 hours from Ottawa. I've done that trip four times a year for 3 years.

I think you can shave off 40 minutes by taking a more direct route from Toronto to Montreal.

So, call it 18 hours. That's if you are really disciplined about keeping your ass in the car!

LOL try that with a wife with a small bladder and a dog with an even smaller blader in a ford reg cab p/uLOL

12-14 hour to montreal........depending on driving habit (12 for me) about 5 from montreal depending on time of the day through montreal and if you know your way around so you don't take the most busy/construction road.

Toronto to Halifax

It has been my experience on a number of occasions to be able to travel from Toronto to Halifax in 16 to 18 hours quite comfortably, stopping for food and fuel when required.

hmmmm.... just thinking about the NS provincials... So, leave Thursday, get there on Fri, shoot Sat and Sunday, leave Mon, and arrive on Tues - so that's Mon and Fri off work... Ok, we'll see how that will go... have to look into westjet prices (no Air Canada, haha).

Try Canjet. They are based out of Halifax, and tend to have really good prices. I'm flying that way in about... 6 hours.

when you factor in the extra gas and the extra km on the lease, it's cheaper to stick with Toronto ;)

strangely enough, Air Canada has the cheapest flights between Toronto and Halifax, from them all, but once you add that $50 fee, it changes just a bit, haha!

Omen you should start accumulating aeroplan......it cost me 148.00 for 2 persons return Winnipeg/Ottawa....plus of course now 100.00 for the gun's.....so for 248.00 I fly.....to a match ;)
