Canadian tire has one , it's about 16 inches long and I thought that was maybe a bit big for firearms? Princess auto is 7 hrs away

They come in foot pounds and inch pounds depending on your requirements, I'd assume inch pounds would suit firearm requirements best in most applications.

just want one for general fire arm use, I've seen one that is 10 to 50 l and one that is 20 to 70 inch lbs....gun gear.com .... Would like to buy only one if possible. Ive stripped down a ruger 1022 and am installing Nordic chasis , tacsol barrel,etc.

Yes, Elwood Epps stocks the Weaver version ... inch pounds.

There's always snap-on. I use a 5-35 in-lb torque screwdriver and a 40-200 in-lb 12".

I go a Norbar 180 In-lb / 3/8 dive for my allan nut on my XCR for Barrel changing.What you are looking for is a Torque Screw driver they go up to 40 In-Lb for torque screws.Good luck

Use the best you can afford, get it checked to verify calibration and ALWAYS back it off when your done using it. That said, I need to get me a torque screwdriver. Its the only thing I don't have ...

I have a MAC Tool TD95640 Torque Driver and it works great.
9 to 45 in # with a variety of bits.

Just a suggestion for anyone that only wants to buy one torque driver to buy the one which has the lower range values. It's the smaller screws where an unskilled hand will do the damage very easily.

The bigger fasteners that would normally require the higher values are typically harder to damage and easier to estimate. And at any rate such things are less likely to strip if you go a little too gung ho on them.
