Torquing screws for scope mounts

What I meant was Vortex scope came with the torque #

When the Vortex product manual provides a torque level recommendation, it's for Vortex brand scope rings. Where Vortex doesn't recommend rings, the recommendation is to tighten according to the scope ring manufacturer's instructions.

To illustrate, below is the relevant section from the Razor HD LHT manual, which recommends using Vortex brand rings, followed by the Viper H-ST manual, which makes no ring recommendation.

Thanks for this - I found it, but they don't have any in stock at our store. So I ordered one online and will pay the extra $5 shipping and still be way ahead of the Wheeler thing. I also picked up an adapter from 1/4" square to 1/4" hex (99 cents) so the driver bits will fit. Oh yeah, and some driver bits for $3 on sale.

I've been extremely satisfied with the fixit sticks torque driver kit, its a single driver that indicates output, unlike their limiter kits. One of those purchases you won't regret down the road.

I bought this 1/4 inch drive 10-150 inch pound one over the screwdriver versions as it increases in 1 lb. increments and it gets good reviews, now $65 on amazon.ca I bought a 1/4 to 1/4 hex socket so I can place torx or Allen bits into it, works great.
