ran about 1000 rounds through it today, non-stop. took about 3 hours.

at the very end, for the last 300 rounds, it started to have issues with chambering a round after a new mag was added and you hit the slide release (no doubt due to the lack of oil at that time), but aside from the cheap ammo used (Remington Bucket'O'Bullets) having a few FTF (#### the hammer again and the round would fire), she performed flawlessly. had I put a bit more oil on her from the last cleaning, I think I wouldn't have had any issues chambering either.

was a lot of fun though. on a 6" reactive target circle, I was getting between 33 - 36 rounds of 45 on it at 25 yards.

definitely need to upgrade the rear sights though. if anyone has suggestions to consider, I'm open to hearing them!
 
so, I'm looking for a new rear sight for my 1911-22. I am concerned, however, with the fact it's smaller, so everything is to scale. if I add a full sized 1911 rear sight, will that screw me up? :confused:
 
I have learned to live with the stock sights, part of the reason I bought the gun is I like the GI look of the gun. Full sized 1911 sights would (if they could be made to fit) look really strange and probably wouldn't help tighten up your groups.
I have found that mine is reliable if I clean it every now and then, I did let the cleaning slide for about 4 range trips and it caused problems which cleared up as soon as I took care of it.
I don't know how much you paid for yours but mine was pretty expensive for such a small gun, about the same as a top end Buckmark. I had a Buckmark Camper and it was fairly reliable..the odd stove pipe being the main problem. Haven't had any stove pipes with the little 1911 and only a few Failure to Fire's due to dud ammo except of course if I don't keep it clean.
 
yeh, I am thinking my options of sights is next to nil, due to the the 75/100 ratio thing going on :p

love it too! with time and experience, I'll get better, but I was putting up to 36 of 45 shots (I've got 5 mags @ 9 rounds per mag = 45 shots) in a 6" circle @ 20 yards.

I'm probably going to try marking the front sight with whiteout or orange model paint and see what that does to help me acquire my target.

it's so light, it's easy to hold steady. love this gun!

oh...and I paid $550 I think. this was like 4 years ago too when they first came out.
 
Can't say for sure how many rounds fired but with 3 mags that are starting to show wear on the finish must have gone through lots...Still have only had to wipe the thing down and have yet to apply any lube to anything...Not one feed issue or dudd firing federal champion and find it is very accurate for how compact the package...only peaves are the odd pinch from the hammer and the mag release button spring is kinda weak for reliability...Oh Yeah and the sights are kinda fine and dark so you really have to bear down but maybe thats why the thing ends up shooting so well.
