One precaution you may want to take is to put it in a container first. Tracy over at CCFR had a mishap where she had one leak and ruin her guns awhile back. I put these around my house and I place them in reusable takeout containers (just the bottom part) just in case. I have had one leak but fortunately the container held all the liquid.

I had a Dri Zair container crack and the run-off seriously damaged several guns. The good part was it was just the outside of the barrels were damaged, but still their value and appearance has gone south.

With so many mishaps mentioned already. Why would anyone take the chance? Just install the electric rod from Goldenrod or other manufacturer or the rechargeable dessicant units that change colour when requiring recharging.
