Is there a way to identify those poorly pinned SKS's that were in that bad batch? Reason I ask is I came across a never fired SKS with a pinned barrel for cheap. Fellow thought he bought it from Lever back in late 80's or early 90's. I've not shot it either.

i can see that your peed off about this thing, but if you haven't given the seller the chance to do the right thing, i dont think you should have started this bashing thread. reputations are easily lost and never gotten back. and i for one won't be dealing with you in future. it seems this guy has a 100% rating for 27 trades so maybe you should cool it a little.

He hasn't said who the seller is . and you are mistaken about who the seller is . I see you just looked at his 1 trader rating But if you look closer it was not for this rifle .

well he has only one trade ,,so what rifle is it?? what i'm saying is that he is shooting his mouth off, before he has given the seller the benifit of the dought. and he shouldn't have started this thread,.

skit,
The seller has not been named so you can't complain about him being given the "benifit of the dought" (sic). Tone down the rhetoric or this thread will be closed.

If Maka got the SKS in question last Tues, and left his one comment so far for Gyman98 on July 21, it would be reasonable to think that perhaps Maka has not yet left any comment for the seller of the sKS.
Of course, I may be jumping to conclusions here.

Also this is one of the main reasons why I take every new to me SKS, and any other rifle for that matter apart and give it a close look over before heading to the range with it.

^^This is what smart people do when they purchase firearms. If this incident was indeed known to the seller. Good luck "proving" his prior knowledge if you wish to take this to civil court. With the cost of court fees, lawyers, time off work etc etc. I think you'll be losing more than the $200 invested.

The seller needs to take a stand on the knowledge of the repair if any prior knowledge at all. I wouldn't bank on the seller admitting to anything regarding the repair, or lack thereof. Chalk it up to a learning experience and inspect your firearms when you buy them.

toobal, it was you who named the seller, not i, but the fact remains that this guy who has a 100% rating is being slammed, apperantly before he has had a chance to remidy the situation, and this is just not right. this thread should have been stopped before it got this far. all the guys i have dealt with on this forum are 100% stand up guys. and my own trader rating is 100%. this guy is being defamed before he has a chance to respond. and like i said reputations are easily lost and never gotten back. how would you like to be in this situation?

Take another look at his 1 trader rating it was for something he sold not for this rifle in question . The seller has not been named

The seller has not been named in this thread.

Would you be so "understanding" if a rifle you purchased came unhinged when you fired it?

Closed.
