Tough, reliable, low maintenance revolvers in 44mag?

The S&W or Ruger would be my picks, single or double action, you decide. Both good right out of the box and a ton of after market parts available if you want to modify. Cut my revolvers down to a single six, everyone should have one of these, and Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag..

Why not the Ruger Alaskan Super Redhawk in 454 Casull from Talo. Double action with a 5 inch barrel. A bit heavy, but very robust and reliable. You can also use 45 long Colt for cheaper practice.

I've got a pair of the old model Ruger Vaqueros in .44 mag. Tough guns! If you can break a Ruger, you're too stupid to have a gun.
