Toughest, non jamming, semi auto 22 ?

I have a ruger 10/22. Have had it for over 15 years and put over 50000 rounds through it. It loves yellow jackets and just plain works. Some of the 25 round mags crap out after a while, but the rotary one keeps on going.

I finally cleaned it about a month ago.

My dad has a nylon 66. The first one we had broke and we gave it to a gunsmith. This one we have now is going strong. I had one jam that required disassembly, the shell got jammed above and behind the bolt.

Other than that, it doesn't quit. My only gripe is the plastic charging handle. I knocked the gun over a couple weeks back and broke the charging handle. I will make a steel one at work.

I have a Gevarm and a 10/22.

The Gevarm never jams.....ever (except with stingers), but is a takedown model so putting a scope on it didn't work becasue the barrel is never quite tight. Also, for some reason mine won't shoot stingers, they are too long and get stuck.
The Ruger works good with a scope. Improved jamming by putting in a trigger (hammer/sear/shim) kit and sticking with the factory mags. Now it rarely jams. Another plus for the ruger is that you can get the speed loaders for the clips to save the fingers.

Good luck choosing!
