Tourqe values for action screws

Hi guys can anyone help with , I'm trying to find the tourqe value on my Dlask 10/22 build. And would the tourqe settings be the same on a bolt action, action screws.

I have found that most 10/22 actions work well when torqued to 15 to 20 inch lbs.

For wood, go easy. Only a pillar bedded action can be torqued hard.

I'm starting at 10 then hitting the range and seeing what it likes, working up to 30, but I have a composite stock (Magpul x22).

My experience has been that 30 in-lb is max for wood. Otherwise it crushes.

Start low and work up. If the groups stop getting better at 20, stop at 20

The best torque value will vary from rifle to rifle, so as mentioned above, start low then shoot, torque, shoot, torque until you get the setting for the best accuracy for your gun. Be sure to shoot 10 shot groups, 3 and 5 shot groups don't tell you anything usable.

And the emphasis is on Inch Pounds...not that anyone didnt notice that White Elephant sitting in the room
