It is wellknown that nail polish is poor man's substitute for loctite, just use that instead of blowing money on loctite. I used it on the screws that were coming loose on my BB gun 5 years ago and after several thousand rounds they are still very tight.:)

Oh boy.. That's a toughy.. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Well it was his luck to get it birch.. He is your little bro..Let it go..Ask him later one day if he minds switching with you. That's the fairest I could come up with.
 
Doubt the stock will affect the accuracy on a 22 it's just your stuck-up definition of "better". ;) If your brother isn't the firearms perfectionist that you are I'd swap it, if your conscience is going to bother you - tell him you did it. If he's young enough to whine make him pick the birch out and tell why he picked it- if he wins take your lumps its just a TOZ-78:rolleyes: ;)
