Picked up one today and headed off to the range to try her out. I managed to shoot off about 500rnds and am pleased to say that I had ZERO feeding issues. This rifle just ate up everything. I didnt have alot of quality stuff to feed it, but it is the first rifle I have owned that seems to love Minimags. Anyway, the only issue I had was the seating of one of the 10rnd (this rifle comes with 2x5 and 2x10rnd mags) didnt
Seat as well as the others. I had to make sure it was seated or it would fall out. I had a 6x24 scope on it only for testing. It will wear a 4x going forward. One thing I should mention is the high quality factory metal sights. They functioned very well and were spot on target for my rifle.

Do you have other models of the TOZ?

I have had a TOZ 17 that I bought new in 1977. The only issue I've ever had with it was with the magazine falling out now and again. Other than that, a great little rifle.

Make sure the sear doesn't break or it will be a paper weight. There were a lot of these sold off by Armrus when they closed shop, these and TOZ 78'S were sold for $100. Lots of broken sears on the 99's unfortunately, and no spare parts.

Yep. One way to be easy in the sear is to never use hi or hyper velocity ammo.

Yup...mine broke after about 150 rounds of federal bulk.

I had one of these a few years back . The sear broke after about 1000 rounds . I just made up another sear out of better? material and never looked back . I put thousands of rounds through it after that before I sold it . New owner uses it regularly with no problems that I'm aware of .

you should take orders.....I'm sure there are a few around collecting dust

Crazy.

Well, the sear in your pic looks very poorly designed. Im amazed it could even handle SV rounds. I will have to take a look more closely to see if it looks the same. It is a shame for those that it failed on, as it is nicely accurate and very reliable.
