So I disided to write a review on two smg's these are my views as owner of both of these.

So here are the stats
........................TP9...................KGPF-9
caliber...............9x19mm..............9x19mm
weight...............2lbs 15.25oz........6lbs 8.5oz
leght folded........12"....................14.5"
leght exteded.....20"7/8.................25"3/8
action...............blowback..............blowback

We will begin with the B&T TP-9.

First inpression is how light the gun is it feals like a airsoft P.O.S. but don't kid your self this thing is a well crafted machine, it reminds me of a Frankenstein Glock. Out of the box and right to the range it shoots extremely well and there is little to no recoil ,ergonomics are great and everything feels like its in the right place.
IMG_5303.jpg

The only two things that I did not like is the place ment of the charging handle that is placec at the rear like a AR platform and the rear sights I find you loose alot of the target with the closed up rear sight.
IMG_5301.jpg

At the range it performed using white box Winshester ammo without a problem. These are the best groops I could make using iron sights standing

Take down is similar to a Glock for the exception of a rear botton that has to be pushed. The bottom and the top receiver are both polimer the only metal is the bolt the barrell and the some parts of the triger mech.
IMG_5319.jpg

IMG_5321.jpg

barrel leght is not the greatest but what do you want for a smg
IMG_5322.jpg

I don't recomend taking the triger mech. appart onless you are a swiss watch maker LOL
IMG_5326.jpg

And now the FEG KGPFP-9
IMG_5329.jpg

First inpression this thing is heavier than hell if I run out of bullets I can throw it at who ever is shooting at me and it will do more damage than the 9mm coming out of the barrel. It feels like a AK and its problably cause it shares the front sight post and the pistol grip.
IMG_5332.jpg

First shoots at the range I could not belive how accurate it is and due to the extra wight it feels like a .22cal. there is no recoil on this moster. Here are the best groops taken with iron sights standing.
IMG_5343.jpg

IMG_5347.jpg

the sight picture is great due to the open rear sights and it has a a second flip up rear sight set for different ranges.
IMG_5335.jpg

Take down is easy and similar to a AK pressing on the rear take down button and removing the top cover
IMG_2160.jpg

then pressing the spring retainer foward and out just like a AK,
IMG_2168.jpg

and then removing the bolt.
IMG_2172.jpg

Looking inside you can see how easy it is to maintain.
IMG_2174.jpg

The upper cover and the lower receiver are made of stamped steal. The barrel is removed by turning the front barrel nut
IMG_2175.jpg

barrel leght is greater than the TP9. and I don't care what your wife or girl freind tells ya SIZE DOES MATTER
IMG_5341.jpg

Over all I would prefer the KGPF-9 over the TP9 just on the rear sights and the feel of the weapon. The only downfall to the KGP is the lack of parts and its weight.

Hope you liked my review

IMHO the KGPF has already lost even before the race has started - a SMG that weights 6lb8oz has no use to anyone who needs a SMG.

The thing does not even come with a rail for optics. It is obsolete!

I may as well shoot a 5.56 if I am packing 6.5lb!

Like I said the downfall is the weight but I am a big guy 6lb8oz is the same weight as my coffe mug I am use to carrying arround 24lbs in one hand. What does a 9mm AR weigh?

shootout

Awesome review man! I collect pistol calibre carbines and I've always wondered what the kgpf-9 was all about. Did you install the front rail yourself? Was it hard or did you just mark the holes and drill/tap? I believe Astorarms brings these in too. Where did you find all those mags?

Please do tell!
Awsome range report by the way.

I made my own rail on cnc the holes where allready there. Astoramrs is the only other retailer that I have seen the kgp at. The mags came from the shooting edge. besides the weight this is my favorite legal smg in Canada and I olso have a vz-91 Scorpion I was gonna have a 3 way match but I thought it would not be kosher to to put a red smg with these two.

I would have liked to see that. My Skorpion is one of my faves. That rail setup is pretty sweet.

no problem guys it was alot of fun. I will do up one on the scorpion but I don't think it will fly if I post it here I am sure it will have to go to RED RIFLES.
