TPS rings/bases

### was the 'normal source' I was talking about. I've always had good dealings with him. I did end up going with one of the egw's for the base.

Just for the record though, I thought someone else was carrying the tps line as well, in case one place is out of stock, or out of contact?
 
I think so. On sniperhide someone mentioned that they are officially a IOR optics vendor as well. I think PGW also carries TPS products. Thats where I got mine....some time ago...
 
You can buy direct from TPS...but for what its worth the guys (Aman) over at EGW is excellent to deal with and product is very nice. I purchased two bases for my 7600 remington and my Benelli SBE from them and a set of 30mm 0.850 tactical rings for a switch scope set-up for the new Leupold 1.5-6 LPS I bought

Thanks Chilly Willy. I've already got EGW bases on route. Just looking for some rings now and figured a set of TPS would fit the bill nicely.
 
I just went over this with EGW...I had to get the base and their 0.850 low 30mm rings to come up and leave a 1/8th of an inch above flush with the receiver. With a 42mm objective I have 21mm +/- to deal with in drop clearance so with the objective hanging out over the from of the base I still have room plus the reduced barrel contour to stuff caps on the objective and eye bell. EGW rings are very impressive and have been over engineered for a great product and are the lowest aviable 30mm tactical ring I've found @ .850. These are made from aluminum and the threads are formed not drilled for strength...I got mine off Ebay for $99.00 and free shipping because I had already bought the bases.
