TR Class stock for Savage M12 Palma

Hi all,

I'm a TR prone shooter from BC who's currently using a Savage Model 12 Palma. Works great right now and all, but I'm also preparing for the World Long Range Championships in New Zealand this upcoming January. I've done some browsing online and haven't really found anything that fits what I'm looking for in a stock (Adjustable Cheek/ Buttplate. Anshutz rail etc). I know the Tikka T3's fit in Remington 700 stocks, but I don't know if the Savage fits in anything other than a Savage.
If anyone could help me out that would be great!

Also if anyone is selling a Barnard/ RPA in .308, I wouldn't mind that either :p :p

Doesn't the Savage Palma already come with an adjustable prone stock? McMillan makes a prone stock that is very popular and they can inlet it for a Savage. Paul Reiben in Kamloops BC makes laminate stock that have adjustable butt plates and cheek pieces. Another option would be to have it made into a tube gun. Eliseo makes a long range prone tube gun stock that will fit a Savage.
 
The Savage already does come with one, I was just looking for an upgrade. I've had friends with Paul Reiben made stocks and they are gorgeous - I've used a few myself on RPAs (Borrowed). Problem is they are made to order and are quite pricey, and I also don't plan on keeping this Savage forever. Hoping to upgrade to a Barnard or RPA.
I'll definitely have a look at the McMillans. As for the Eliseo stocks, the problem is I'll have to change to a high front sight, which is another expenditure I want to avoid if possible. Fantastic looking stocks though.
 
Dolphin makes a stock thats decent. I shot next to a guy at nationals last year who liked it, but he mentioned he wanted to follow me down the elisio road.

You on the team? Or going as an individual?
 
I believe Jefferson has an RPA in 308 on the EE, worth look and not many rounds through it as I remember.

Dolphin unfortunately only inlets their TR stock for a Barnard Model P :( But its a gorgeous stock. As for the WLRC, I'm on the Canadian U25 - Great bunch of shooters. Shot with a few of them in South Africa.
 
I'll take a look at that, Jimmyjazz! Definitely sounds like a very enticing deal. Could always use an RPA :D
 
You can have just about any action dropped into a Reiben stock. I have a Millennium action with a bedding block in one of his stocks. I have also seen Swings, RPA's, Barnards, Musgraves and Remingtons. No reason you couldn't drop a Savage into one of his stocks. Then if you really love the stock you could take the Savage out and have the stock redone to fit a Barnard or RPA. After all it is just wood and Devcon.

Thanks! Gave him a call the other day, and we're just sorting the details. All for a very reasonable price too! Gonna have an amazing stock in a month or two it looks like. Thanks all
