Tracer stopped by Canada Post

Nothing illegal about it. Declare everything and have been inspected many times with not a problem.

Tracers are perfectly legal in Canada

Import into Canada and export from the United States are two different issues. Please review the Forum Rules and Terms respecting illegal export of controlled goods from the United States.

Canada Post will not ship ammo. I sent a xmas parcel the other day and the guy asked right away because he knows I often ship guns if there was any ammo or other dangerous goods in the parcel because as he said they do not accept it or ship it. And yes they randomly x-ray parcels at times.

My .308 projectiles have been lost for 2 months. Canada post is retarded. And what is with the price of UPS. They charged me $29 to ship a box of 6.5x54ms to a house 2 hours away!

Completely off topic, but if one where to look at the finances of UPS, Fed-Ex or say Canada Post they would find that UPS is on pretty solid ground when it comes to being in the black...they are a well run company and on strong $$ ground.
One of the reasons is they charge $$ for services rendered.

Tracer projectiles are considered Class 1.4C therefore fall under the Dangerous Goods Act and the Explosives Act. Canada Post does not allow shipping of Dangerous goods by mail

Its on all CP receipts unless its an envelope. I doubt it even saw a CP counter.

But doesn't the envelope have to pass through that slot gauge they use and if not then must go as a package?? That is what they do to me
I agree it never seen a counter
Cheers

Yep got an envelope this morning with two snap rings in it and a handle for a snowblower recoil
It was small 4"x6" x 1/2" with a big tracking number right on the front. Part of the shipping no extra cost
Buddy is feeding the OP a line with regard to the tracking

CP rules specifically say that bullets are not mailable. They also mention cartridges as well, so they do know the difference between bullets and cartridges. And yes, I send and receive bullets in the mail often.

Do not use UPS for shipping, they are a complete rip off and add their Christmas bonus to every package. I refuse to use them on any shipping from the US and I tell the retailers I will not purchase from them if they use UPS. Been burned too many times. Use USPS instead!!!

So true, especially their cash grab brokerage fee. I broker my own stuff if i have to use UPS internationally

CP tracks all packages, sounds like the OP got scammed, the receipt has a 16 digit number IIRC.

A EE seller shipped me a few hundred 45-70 projectiles in the mail and I had to collect it from my local post office as it had signature required and I was not home to take delivery. When I picked it up at the post office the person behind the counter handing it to me asked what was in it as you could feel and hear the loose bullets rattle around inside. I said just hobby gear to which he said it better not be bullets or you will be in trouble if we find it is and call you in. I think they know what my hobby is.

Cabela's just shipped me bullets by Canada Post. If Canada Post finds out what it is who gets in trouble, me or Cabela's?
