I have bought several rifles from Tradeex-and found them fair, prompt, and condition exceeding their description.Last purchase was a used Choate stock for my 6.5x55 swede-and on installing it-found the original screw too long and protruding into the bolt channel.Simple-cut the screw to length and run a die over the threads to cut them lower-except for one small detail-the thread is NOT a common thread and the screw is hardened .Anthony then found a gunsmith friend in Ontario who is sending me a screw to fit-now THAT is service above and beyond....do I recommend people do business with Tradeex?....you better believe I do

They're really excellent.

I've got three rifles from them, all ended up being nicer than they described. And you'll notice THE PRICE OF THEIR RIFLES DIDN'T JUST JUMP LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE's. I know their used, but still, they were a very good deal before, and now they're even better.

Why not have a genuine mauser action that holds five rounds for half the price of a push feed, plastic rifle that holds three rounds?

I'm another VERY satisfied customer of Tradex, their service was fantastic, the shipping was blindingly fast.

I just bought a M96 sporter in 6.5x55 from Tradex on monday. This is my first gun purchase online from a dealer (I have bought a number privately, though) and I am wondering what they do about the transfer. Do they initiate it, then ship the rifle with the reference number in the box for me to complete it when I receive the rifle, or call me with the reference number before they will ship or what?

So far, I am a happy customer. They answered all my dumb questions on the phone patiently and promised it would be shipped monday or tuesday at the latest.

Thanks,
Mark

You have nothing to do yourself. They do all the transfers over Internet or the phone.
After about one week, you will receive the Transfer Notification by mail then, maybe a week or two later, the registry.

I picked up a M96 6.5x55 sporter from Tradeex for $240 this spring-excellent barrel, weaver bases installed, nice walnut stock that a couple of hours work made like new,and I had a very fine hunting rifle that would be tough to beat for value at 3 times the price.[Of course I'm a bit biased,I think the 65x55 is about the finest deer caliber you can get for ANY money] Thats the 5th or 6th rifle I've bought from them[check out their 9,3x57's too, for something a bit bigger].....plus a nice Choate stock and some Privi partizans

I don't have to call and complete the transfer? Go figure, I thought the process would be the same for a dealer as for a private sale. That is good news for getting the rifle this week, though. I better go buy a scope and rings for it, just to be sure I can go test drive as soon as I have it in hand.

ratherbefishin, I agree, 6.5x55 is very nearly the perfect deer cartridge. I would also add in black bear and moose to that list.

I've shot a couple of black bears with my 6.5x55 and over 30 deer ,but decided to try the 9,3x57 for bear/moose loaded with 286 gr. privipartizans, should be a pretty good smack and double my 139 gr I'm shooting in the 6.5x55.I just like the quality and workmanship of the swedes

I have dealt with Tradex on numerous occasions. Great product, customer service, shipping and people to deal with on every single occasion. I recommend them highly to everyone who listens.

Bought a beautiful Zastava M70. Came very fast well packed and as discribed. Very good service in my book from Tradex

Several purchases with Anthony. Top drawer service. I grabbed a 96 sporter (military convert) in 6.5X55 of course. Side safety with adjustable trigger a sporter stock that cleaned up great. Best of all it puts 160 grain handloads in the same hole all day. Not to mention the 4 or 5 baikal shotguns the list goes on. Great guys.

regards, Darryl
