Tradex Gew 98 Danzig 14

I was just wondering if the lucky sod that got that rifle is a member on this sight? If you wondering what I,m talking about 3 days ago on TX sight they had a 1914 gew 98 danzig (K98az?) complete but in poor overall shape for $99!!

From the sources I am looking at, the K98AZ specimens built in Danzig are known but quite rare.

It is quite unique looking with the piling rod at the muzzle.

I thought about it but the description was Rusted bore and rusty metal. Anthony is pretty good on descriptions.

Yeah saw it last week. Was tempted but dont have much space in my gun room especially for a "wall hanger". Good deal for someone who's happy to just "fix bayonets" and chase the wife and kids around the house though! I'm more in "selling mode" these days.
