I am looking at purchasing a traditions buck stalker. I now have a TC omega and would like to get a M/L with some sort of speed breech that isn't going to break my bank account. I have been reviewing them online and all seems good. I was just wondering if anyone uses them and or has an opinion good or bad. Thanks

I use one. Love it. Of the 4 front stuffers I have it is by far my favorite. However it is not a tack driver. 2.5-3" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. Perfect for hunting. I've dropped my 2 biggest bucks to date with my buck stalker. Light well balanced good handling. Well built for the money. The stock is well designed for recoil. Sights are sturdy enough although I removed the rear sight for a scope. The blued finish has held up very well over the years.

Hey Moose,
I can't imagine why you would want to give up on the Omega. Mine is amazingly accurate even at long ranges. I switched to Blackhorn 209 powder and I no longer need to take the breech plug out, except for end of season cleaning, which is minimal, even after about 20 shots. Oh, I also modded my breech plug to accept the .25 ACP shell with a small pistol primer in it. Everything is so much cleaner now.
I use a socket on a screwdriver to get the plug out, and it isn't too bad. The factory kit for removing the breech plug was bad indeed.
On the other hand never mind. I'll give you $100 for the Omega if you don't want it. The breech plug is too much of a PITA to pay any more than that!
