Got one, shoots alright with its pet load, but wouldn't trust it much more than 150 yards. Kind of a PITA to disassemble to clean though. It is a little heavy to me compared to the Omega though. Short barrel with bolt and action. Not to start a war here, but it does have a spanish barrel. One hasn't blown op on me or anyone I know, but I like my face as the loads I use are well higher than what it is proofed to. Anyways I would probably ask about the E-bolt as it is pretty much the same, but with a bolt, so takedown would be a little easier. Not sure where you hunt, and the conditions you hunt in, because when you pull the bolt back with the Tracker, it leaves the primer exposed to the elements. I know the 209's are supposedly waterproof, but why chance it with a nice animal in front. Lastly, the Tracker really leaves the bottom of the scope black. The only problem I have had with the gun is the spring on the nipple broke once while shooting at some fast food. When I went tracking I noticed my primer was missing, but they now sell them for a couple of bucks. If you buy a Traditions gun you may want to invest in a couple to have handy.
Hakx,I traded the NEF for a Ruger Single Six,besides the NEF was too heavy for D being wood & steel,So I figured a "Tracker" would suit him,and he won't be using a scope right away,he like the Tru-Glo sights.

I find it fairly stiff to ####. I don't have a scale on hand, but it is definately stronger than cocking the hammer on your old NEF. It is also considerably stronger than a bolt also. I do believe that junior could #### it without much problem though, as a buddies 10 year old has tried mine out before. If I can get a scale, I will try to weigh it tomorrow.

Yup,I could'nt resist,not at that price! The only smoke I wanna see coming from my kid is outta the muzzle of his new gun!!!
He's 9 now,when he doubles in age he can do what he wants

Well it arrived and under 60minutes we were at the range make'n smoke.
My son,Dylan was shooting 50gr volume of Pyrodex RS and a saboted rounball.
I fired 100grs volume of same powder and a 240gr XTP as well as two 777 pellets(100grs) and a 250gr SST. I was pleased with its shooting ability as compared to higher end muzzle loaders.(I shoot the T/C Encore). It'll do the job and it will give him something to grow into.Eventually,I'll increase the charge bit by bit until its worthy of dropping a deer.Until then,we'll both have fun with it!

I've got one too. For the price it really can't be beat. Maybe it's the weight of the barrel, but I really enjoy hunting with it because it points and swings very well.
Three major complaints:
1. The sights are not solidly affixed. That front sight is holding on with 1(!) screw and the curve of the barrel. The rear sight is not much better. Scoping is easy enough if you need to hunt.
2. The ramrod is plastic and has non (blackpowder) standard threads.
3. Pain to clean.
That being said, I love it for what it is.
