Bought my first muzzleloader this year. I picked up the Traditions Yukon model with camo stock and Nickel Barrel. I know it was a low end gun but spare me, I've bought low end guns before and never have I had this many problems.
First impression was great and the first few shots were superb and accurate, I was excited, then it started to missfire, then I couldn't operate the drop breech. I thought it was just dirty, gave it a good clean, saw where the drop breech was catching, cleaned that up, figured out that the breech has some wobble, it has to be in direct line for it to fire, if not it won't. I was thinking that perhaps I could live with this when I noticed the crack in the stock, from the breech heading down the the trigger. This gun has 8 rounds through it and about 50, 209 primers through it trying to figure out the missfire.
Anyone else had this problem, are traditions good with their Warranty? Should I just cut my losses and move on with something else?
