Anybody tried IMR "TrailBoss" in either the 357 and 44 Mags. I want light loads for range work and CAS but want to use mag cases for feeding in the lever actions. Apparently this stuff is very fluffy and fills the cases so you don't get double charges or ignition troubles. Thanks for any info. Steve

I'm using 5.5 gr. Trail Boss and a 250 gr LRNFPBB bullet in my RV's and my Uberti 1866 Yellow Boy, all in.45Colt
Works great.
I'm also working on loads for my 45-70 using a 350 gr LRNFP bullet but haven't come up with the load my Hiwall likes just yet.

You simply cannot double charge TB using min loads and 45 70 or 44 mag.
Min loads work very well in both, for me, so far...

In 44 mag with 240 gr rnfp cast bullet and my smith model 29.
A 405 gr cast bullet and my marlin guide gun equipped with a proper recoil pad.

I own a number of revolvers. 6.0 gr of TB is the best accuracy I have found yet in my smith model 26 6"
I go to the range and shoot 100 from both guns.:D
And I do not like recoil.
