Well the season is about to close so I went out one last time to look for deer and pick up my trail cam
I have had a few bucks ...and a lot of does on camera but I have never seen anything close to him
for reference the tree in the pic is exactly 29 feet from my trail cam

He has to eat he has to breed .so find the food and find the bedding area get between them and put the time in ..unless you can get a small group together and push the bedding areas .nice deer I would be spending the time to root him out. Dutch

I don't want to bust any bubbles, but the WT buck is well short of making the BC records book.
He is past his prime, judging by several non typical points, but not enough non typical points to be judged as a non typical head. Thus, it is a typical head, with a number of non typical points to reduce the score,

I can't speak for anyone but myself Bruce, but a deer like that would be of much more personal value to me than any score could indicate..... B&C is all a bunch of made up hooey designed around what some small committee decided was "beautiful" or "typical"...... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to this beholder that is one hell of a nice deer that would get a fair bit of my hard earned cash out into it's mounting....

I agree with you Superbrad. That deer would be a wall hanger for me as well. Even though I prefer the clean classic whitetail rack, that one would be worthy of the wall.

I agree that this is likely an older buck, he doesn't seem to be heavy enough in the body. As to the score, I could care less. I'd take a few pics, and maybe nail the rack to the wall in the garage. Yeah, I'm a meat hunter.
