Trail cam pics

A friend was in same position way way back . Lone permission to hunt on lands and found another hunters game cam set ups . What he did was made up a set of flash cards , with what he thought would be large enuff to easy read the print , stood in front of the camera and held each card up for a few seconds . .. basically .. Hi .. This property belongs to john doe . His phone number is ........... would you mind calling him and telling him why you are hunting on his land with out permission . Thank you , and by the way I set up a camera that filmed you checking your camera . Nice beard . And as I,ve been hunting for over 40 yrs it was easy for me to back track you to where you park your truck and last weekend I got a really nice shot of your licence plate . That's a really funny bumper sticker you have .. Have a great day .
He said the stand and cameras were gone shortly after ..

Guys who own trail cams know that if you walk in front of one, you don't get to decide when the trigger trips. Try to get a bare ass shot, you might have to wiggle your ass around for a while. The guy may have his camera set for 10 seconds or less between shots, or may be it's ten minutes. It will trip the first time withing a second or so of you coming within range. You might also be on video.

once I find a camera I will approach it from an oblique angle or from behind so that I have a good chance of displaying my cheaky side in the first frames. :)

My wife went into the back yard to sneak in front of my trail cam that I set up to catch the deer eating apples in the back yard (and to get my daughter interested in deer). As she rounded the pirate ship (long story - we have a pirate ship) a doe gobbling apples snorted and stomped at her...and scared the living #### out of her. Turns out she's nto really keen on the dark...or things that go bump in it.

All this to say...I got no trail cam pics of my wife last night, nor do I expect any in the future.

Haha! Nice one!
