Trail camera trouble...

I have a Moultrie trail camera I bought 3 years ago.I bought a new Remington camera a month ago.I bought 2 extra sd cards so I keep changing them back and forth.I'm starting to get some "black" pics.The time and date is there,but the whole pic is black.Happens day and night.There's been a thousand pics or more on each card over the last 3 years.I always delete them after I take the pics off them.Can the cards be worn out?

nope, I think its the d40. MIne has started doing that this year as well. I had over 100 pictures on my cam from the week I had it out there and atleast 25 of them were pitch black. All different times, so something is triggering the cam but the flash isnt going off.

Not sure why but my dad seems to think its a sasquatch walking by the cam putting his hand over the flash so he can't be identifyed LOL

My Bushnell has done that from day one

Both of my Bushnell cams...since day one, now they are DOA.
PS There is no lens cap

Did you delete any photos that were on the internal memory before inserting the removable memory card ???

I've used the cards from day 1,so there should not be any internal pics stored.It's the same thing with my brand new Remington camera.Thats why I was thinking it was the cards.

I guess I'm not the only one with this problem.I have them set to take 2 pics every seq.I'll change them to 1 pic and see if that helps.

Have you tried Formating your SD cards (not just deleting pics).

If it were me...I'd just throw the old cards out and get new ones. $10/card will bring peace of mind.
