I wish I could, but she has cubs with her. I don't shoot sows if I can help it. They are the future of our bear hunts.

I see. Well that sucks. Hopefully those cubs get their mother's jeans. She looks bigger than anything I've shot.

Pretty decent bear - 250 or so I reckon. Ears not too prominent but belly pretty high up off ground.

White Kleenex tissue on left is set at 32" above ground, tissue on right is at 36" high. Camera lens installed at exactly 36" high. Pics say to me this one is a bit over 32". My thinking - rule of thumb - is a bear with a back over 36" high is a BIG one - maybe in the 400 lb class.

Camera quit taking pics (battery 0% dead when I checked it yesterday). Bear may have returned but ?.

Additional input/thoughts welcome. Any guesses as to weight from you experienced bear hunters?

Been waiting for a good big specimen to take a pic with my 50-70 Remy roller I've been carrying. We'll see if that works out.

Very Happy to harvest this buck sad that my whitetail season is over so soon...
