Follow this link to the IDPA website. It explains the rules for the Postal Match.

Ken was planning on incorporating those pre-determined stages into the regular mix that he has. If you're not a member of IDPA then your score will not count for anything beyond the regular shoot. Those shooters who are paid-up IDPA'ers will have their scores for the Postal match section submitted to the USA for comparison against all the other particpants.

Here is what the stages look like:

String 1 is 6 with a reload and then 3 more for 9 shots, string 2 is 3 shots and string 3 is 6 shots equalling 18.

String 1: (Starting seated with gun holstered, holding a hand of cards) At Start Signal, draw and
Engage T1-T3 with 2 shots each in tactical priority (near to far) and tactical sequence. (1-1-2-1-1)
Perform a Tactical Reload/Reload with Retention and engage Ti-T3 with 1 head shot each.
String 2: (Starting seated with gun on “X”, hands in surrender position) At Start Signal, retrieve
Pistol and engage Ti-T3 with 1 head shot each Strong Hand Only in tactical priority. (near to far)
String 3: (Starting seated with gun on “X”, hands on knees) At Start Signal, retrieve pistol and
Engage T1-T3 with 2 shots each Weak Hand Only in tactical priority. (near to far)
Note: For clarification purposes, ‘near to far’ engagement shall be Ti, then T2, then T3

6 shots for Tactical Priority, 6 shots for tactical sequence, and then a head shot each. Thats 15 there. Not trying to be a pest. I think the stage designer made a mistake.

I think my calendar shows Sept 26 being the Saturday?

Anywho, Ken said he was gonna have some new props at this shoot, should be a great time :D

PS: I count 18 rounds, which makes sense cause IDPA rules (pg 13, CoF Rule #19)specify that no stage can have more than 18. :)

LOL, i didn't even notice that, would i be right in assuming it's actually on Saturday the 26th?

Sign is fixed to read correct date. Course of Fire for the Postal Match is all figured out now, 18 rounds it is. All is right with the world again, now let's go shooting.

Masterjack, are you going to have enough rounds to shoot this or are you just going to be there to hold my umbrella:p

I think you should re-read CoF Rule #19 more closely. It states: "No string of fire may exceed a maximum requirement of eighteen (18) rounds."

And since the 2009 Postal Match - Stage 1 is a multi-string stage, it may exceed 18 rounds (but it doesn't).

Ya, ya, I'll have enough; I was able to stop into Wortner's and grab some just-below power factor .38's. I'm probably gonna shoot magnum loads anyway, just for poops and giggles. I also put those bad-ass stock wood grips back on 'er!

had a great time at the match as all ways and actualy did not bad today lots of fun chalangng stages
and just for the heck of it i count 18 too

Jim which stages are the postal stages? I shot SSP first and did better than I did shooting ESP and CDP after. I haven't shot my 1911 for awhile. I have a long trigger on it. Ever bump fire a 1911 while shooting a stage? The good news is I missed the No Shoot. The bad news is I had a jam from hell after three of the fastest rounds out of my gun ever.:D Ah the joys of screw ups when you don't need them.

Once my son gets back home and formats some videos for me I'll post one of yours truly clearing a jam on stage 3. I'll post a "language" warning ahead of the video.;).
