+1. It's like paying for F1 driver to improve on your driving skills... unless you're a master or GM already and are prepared to squeeze that extra 1% to beat the next guy, it's better spend the money on ammo instead.

More accurately, it's like having Micheal Schumacher (if he wasn't in a coma :( ) teaching you how to drive... Eric isn't just one of the top IPSC guys, he's THE top guy. With an amazing record of victories.

That's why I'll be all growed up when my Tanfoglio that he has actually touched is delivered. All I really need now is an Eric jersey. I'll put my name on it so peeps don't confuse the two of us.:dancingbanana:

If you actually think it's better to keep practicing the way you do now, and not take a course with Eric, well then you will never be competitive. Not in any serious way. Anyone who takes a class with Eric will get far more out of it than they would spending the money on ammo. Thats true across all skill ranges.

It must be possible though to learn IPSC principles without such a high cost though. I think Eric isn't the only one doing courses

Most certainly there are lots of great teachers out there. However, none of them are Eric. He isn't just the best shooter on the planet, he can also teach you to be like him (if you put in the time and effort). He has a unique way of teaching things, an eye for detail and the ability to drive you hard. If he ever makes it out west I'll be taking a course with him, until then I'll just have to be happy being squaded with him this summer.
