Training day for Boone and Gunner

Went out this morning for some training on quail, it was both dogs first experience with them and they did well
Gunner still gets over excited so my buddy uses a check cord but he's progressing nicely

Boone has one season under his belt so still some experience to gain but he worked well and found the downed birds better than I expected.

Nothing better than being out with the dogs afield! Thanks for posting. My dog is at the same stage and getting ready for season 1, he had a bit of puppy hunting last year and did well on his retrieves. Lots of field training right now and some waterwork because the season is just around the corner!
