Training day for Boone

I got some quail for cheap and have been tuning up Boone for a few days , they are poor flyers but the stink enough for Boone to point an d retrieve them. Due the heat I'm out early but I still put a wet coat on him to keep him cooler.

Brittany’s are such fun dogs. Smart, crazy to hunt and great members of the family. I wish I would have learned about them way sooner.

Beautiful Brittany. First I've seen of a wet coat and I've got my first hunting dog - what exactly is it?

Its a cloth vest that is soaked in cold water before each run. It keeps them cool for a good bit while they work preventing heat stroke.
