Training Interest?

One thing you could consider is making a rifle that uses AR mags a requisite. Then you could use the 10 round pistol mags. There is a decient selection of .223 rifles both restricted and non that people could use. Then you would have common ammo etc.

Ummmmm...nope. Not everyone has, or wants to run, an AR platform (OR 180B, XCR, ETC, ETC).

While I do not do so myself, there are some who prefer to run a 7.62*39 platform, and do it quite well. Further, an AR platform is not limited to just 223. There is that new 6.8 SPC wich is an incredebly hard hitting round up to about 300ish, as well as 308, and a varitety of other rounds.

At this point, lets not get bogged down in detail. I belive its, as long as its reliable, bring whaty ou have, and learn how to use it more effectively. Because lets face it, the more of us there out there dinting primes with an aim to learn, the better off we will all be in the long run.

Just my 2 cents

Ottawa, would be an excellent choice and we can easily get useage of the connaught military range, CFO can't say anthing about that.

When they're the ones approving the temp ATT's for restricted rifles I bet they can.

Those ten round mags are fine for bench shooting or target practice, but are pretty much useless for any kind of tactical training. Unless you have the loops on them, guys have difficulty manipulating the small mags during drills. I haven't one yet that will seat with ten rounds on a closed bolt. Some guys can do nine, some only eight. So really then what was the point? Any extra 3-4 rounds over the 5 round 20 or 30 round mag bodies? Sort of a waste of money if you ask me. Stick to the 20 or 30 round mag bodies, they work much better.

To be honest I would be interested in a rifle only course over a rifle/pistol one. The reason being R-PAL and I'm really much more interested in refining my rifle skills for practical application.

Thanks for all the overwhelming feedback guys. As we decide our schedule and locations we will post the info.

Any other suggestions or questions just add them here.

Thanks for the info guy.

Just sitting in the Amsterdam airport awaiting my connection to Boston.
Will T up with Big Red in the next few days and hammer out an initial schedule.

Cheers

I really would be surprised if the CFO had ANYTHING at all to do with something you guys ran in BC or Alberta; Tactical Response comes up all the time, and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
