We have two spots left in our AP1 course this weekend. It's on Saturday, August 3 at the Guelph Rod and Gun Club.

By far the most unique handgun-training course taught today. Shooters of all skill levels benefit from this course due to great emphasis being placed on:

what are the requirements for the course ? How many mags and ammo? any specific holster?

Great, for future reference here we go:

  • 750+ rounds of ammunition
  • A semi-automatic pistol.
  • A sturdy belt and belt or thigh holster, open top, hard shell.
  • At least 3 magazines
  • At least 2 mag pouches. Belt mounted, open top, hard shell.
 
I just took this course yesterday in Hamilton. If you are free on August 3rd, sign up for this course. I had a blast. Lots of one-on-one instruction, and the instructors really do work with you and help you become a better shooter. If you're thinking drill sergeants will be yelling at you all day, you're wrong. The instructors teach with respect and passion.

In addition to what's mentioned above, make sure you bring sunscreen, lots of water, snacks (lunch was provided), and a quick loader (i.e. - UpLula). If you have multiple pistols, make an educated decision on which one to bring. I made the right choice bringing my CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow (9mm). I'm not too sure how my arms and wrists would be feeling at the end of the day if I brought my 1911 (45 auto). And, a lot of the drills run smoother if you have 10 round mags (I would highly recommend you bring 10 round mags).

Took this course with a buddy on Aug 03 in Guelph. Had a great time! Will be able to seamlessly apply this competition style shooting to real life LEO application. Instruction was well delivered and the instructors were knowledgeable and good guys. Will def take pistol II next year. Showed a remarkable improvement in speed and accuracy by days end. If you've been thinking about taking their courses or are on the fence I definitely recommend it.
