Trak-Lock on Rem870

Guys, I need your help.
I have got Trak-Lock Ghost Sights from Brownells with tritium front.
Have anyone tried to install it on their own or is better to take it to the gunsmith.

I'm sure any competant gunsmith could do this. Armco is a little closer to you.
I had mine done by TacOrd - highly recommended

If you have a front 'base' for the bead, you can do it yourself. Use the supplied adhesive, and then cross-drill and install a roll pin.

The rear is better left to a smith, unless you have a mill.

Best bet - send it to Casey at TacOrd. Then you'll KNOW it's done right, and you won't need to correct your mistakes (which, if it's your first install, you WILL make!)

That is what Casey did to my MM. He said I shouldn't silver solder it on because to do so would require heating up the nickel finish until red hot and the discolouration would be nasty. Being nickel plated, gun kote or rebluing is also not an option.

In the end he use the adhesive and a pin into the base. Casey swears he's never had one come off. I trust him.
