Hi: I know you should be able to dry fire Rugers without snap caps, but I bought snap caps just to be sure,
and, while dry firing, I broke a transfer bar! Also broke one about four years ago in same gun, also with snap caps.
Question is "could the snap cap produce enough bounce back to harm the transfer bar?" I have dry fired it many times
without snapcaps, and shot it lots without breaking any thing. I have the new part ordered, so should be back in business
soon. Just wondering if any one has had a similar experience?
